📏 How to Use an Isoplot

  1. Collect Paired Measurements: Measure the same parts twice (Trial 1 and Trial 2) using the same method or gauge.
  2. Plot Trial 1 vs. Trial 2: This should form a tight cluster near the diagonal line if your measurement system is good.
  3. Review Metrics: The tool calculates:
    • ΔM = Measurement Variation
    • ΔP = Product Variation
    • DR = Discrimination Ratio (ΔP / ΔM)
  4. Interpret DR: A DR ≥ 6 means your measurement system is capable of detecting real product differences.

If DR < 6, you may need to improve your gauge or run Reverse Multi-Vari.
